Directions:  From Wal-Mart in Paris, Lower Terre Haute Rd. 12-1/2 miles to 2250 E. St. (Midwest Gas Rd.), just east of Elbridge.  Then north approx. 1/2 mile.  House on west side.  Watch for auction signs.  From Terre Haute: Old Paris Rd about 8 miles to 2250 E. St., just east of Elbridge, IL.  Turn north.  Go approx. 1/2 mile.  

Selling for the late Ed & Marjorie Bogue estate.  Ed was an engineer and entrepreneur who graduated from GM Institute.  He managed Meco in Paris for over 20 years and had an abiding interest in horsemanship.

UNIQUE ITEM:  Flat top trunk once owned by Ellen Church, nationally known as “the world’s first stewardess”.   In 1930, during the “Golden Age of Aviation”, Church convinced airline officials that having nurses aboard flights would make air travel appear safer.  Later in life, Miss Church became administrator of Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN and moved to a farm in Elbridge.  Ed bought her property after her death and kept this trunk because of its historical interest.

Completely restored buckboard wagon with double tree, new wooden bed, re-conditioned wooden spoke wheels, original seat, very nice, ready to drive

Colson , “Deluxe Calendar Masterline” advertising sample calendars from 1937 with beautiful color artwork incl. children, and  art deco ladies, artists—Fitz Gormton, Dillon, Gene Pressler, Harold N. Anderson, Mayland, , Charlotte Backer, Mabel Rollins Harris, and others, automobiles, original hand drawn “Foxy Grandpa” cartoon by well-known early comic strip artist Charles Edward “Bunny” Schultze dated 1919 on artist board; (2) framed colored photographs by Wallace Nutting, original framed watercolors & oil paintings
